Are you REALLY trying?
Are you committed to doing everything possible to make your dream a reality?
Or are you doing a little bit of what is needed to reach your dreams, and then sinking back into fear, apathy, comfort-zone activities, social media……
Think of reaching your dream as a full-time job. Not in the "I hate Mondays" kind of way. But in terms of you have to make it a major focus of your time and energy.
And every moment you spend needs to have a return on investment – will that activity bring you at least one step closer to your dream? If not, stop doing it and refocus.
Realize that literally everything in your life is the result of a choice you have made. There are no victims. If you want a different result, make a different choice. Yes, I do understand that many of us experience hardship and tragedy. But even in the face of those terrible moments, you still have a choice about how you can respond and continue despite the heartbreak or pain. Moments like that are a chance to build character. Don't use them as a reason to shrink back.
It really is as simple as that. Einstein said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over expecting a different outcome. To get the life you want to have, you must make a different choice. Minute by minute, hour by hour. Success is really made up of a lot of small, seemingly insignificant choices, that add up to major progress over time. If you can be committed to making the right choice in the small things, you will find yourself making leaps towards your goals.
